Riding Mowers Recalled Due to Fire Hazard

recall Consumers should stop using Toro Z Master Riding Mowers as Toro recently announced a recall of its riding mowers. The idler pulley of a Toro mower can rub against the fuel tank. This poses a fire hazard which of course is not good.

What models are involved in this recall?
Toro recalls about 3,700 units in the U.S. and 60 in Canada. The recall involved 2012 and 2013 Toro Z Master Commercial 2000 Series ZRT riding mower, with the following model and corresponding real numbers: model number 74141 with serial numbers ranging from 312000101 to 312000784 and 313000101 to 313000364, model number 74143 with serial numbers ranging from 312000101 to 312000881 and 313000101 to 313000432 and model number 74145 with serial numbers ranging from 312000101 to 312001178 and 313000101 to 313000443.

There have been six reports of incidents but no injuries have been reported. If you own one of the recalled units, contact a Toro dealer to schedule a free repair and/or to check if the repair has already been made to the mower. Toro Riding Mowers were manufactured in the United States by The Toro Co., of Bloomington, Minnesota. The mowers were sold at Toro dealers nationwide from January 2012 through April 2013 for between $7,700 and $8,700.
