John’s car accident
Before the accident, John was training hard for the event. He never stopped training even after the accident. More than his knowledge in training is his determination to fulfill his goals. It was the sweetest victory for him and the rest of the spectators and participants who came that day.

Quadriplegia
John is C-7 quadriplegic. Cervical (neck) injuries usually result in four limb paralysis, which is referred to as Tetraplegia or Quadriplegia. Quadriplegia is paralysis caused by illness or human injury that results in the partial or total loss of use of a human’s limbs and torso. C-7 patients can straighten and bend their elbows. They may also have enhanced finger extension and wrist flexion which allows them to turn and transfer independently. They can propel their wheelchair and perform most daily activities although they might need assistance with a few daily routines.
How to recover from an accident
Accidents change lives, and it is up to the patient to see it as a positive or negative experience. Since dwelling on the ugly side of things wouldn’t help you get back on track, it is wiser to pull yourself up and believe you can move forward. However, it’s not always easy. At first, returning to your daily routine may be traumatic. You will have to get behind the wheel, and you might need to pass by the road where the accident occurred. You might even be reminded every now and then of that moment when you had the accident.
You don’t need not rush. Your loved ones will be there to support you every step of the way. Make sure to give yourself rewards for little victories you achieve and keep going. Most of all be grateful for the opportunity to still be doing what you love.

As a Kentucky Accident Attorney, I have witnessed people endure pain as they strive to recover from road accidents. One thing I noticed about these individuals is their persistence and their strong desire to get better. The accidents they went through might have jeopardized them in a way, but their motivation remained intact. Keep on going and things will get better.
