If your kids are playing Wegmans Playmat Set, you should immediately take this product away from them as it poses a choking hazard. Holgate Toys, manufacturer of the playmat set, issued a recall of this product. The recall was due to choking hazard. The wheels on the wooden vehicles can detach. The manufacturer has received one report of the wheels detaching from the vehicle, but fortunately there were no injuries.

Holgate Toys recalled about 5,000 playmat sets. The recalled product is a 24-inch by 30-inch cotton canvas playmat and consists of four toy wooden vehicles including: a blue car, a red “Wegmans” delivery van, a green “Wegmans” farm tractor and a yellow “School Bus.” Like stated earlier, the wheels on these toys can fall off which possess a safety risk.

Wegmans Playmat Sets were manufactured in the United States by Holgate Toy Division, of Pepperell Braiding Co Inc., of Pepperell, Massachusettes. The sets were sold exclusively at Wegmans Food Stores nationwide from October 2012 through June 2013 for about $25. These were sold in a yellow box measuring about 12-inches by 12-inches with “Wegmans Playmat Set,” an age label circle with “2+” and “Made in the USA” printed on the front of the box. UPC Code 0 7789028735 4 is printed on the back of the box.

Consumers are advised to take the wooden vehicles away from their children and return to the Wegmans Food Stores for a full refund.
