Another Toy Being Recalled Due To Chocking Hazard

Another children’s toy has been recalled due to a choking hazard. This time, it is Toysmith’s light-up toy frogs and ducks. In August 2013, Toysmith recalled about 30,000 light-up toy frogs and ducks because the metal conductor pin on the bottom of the toys can come out, posing a choking hazard. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

Where were these toy sold?
Products included in the recall are those sold exclusively at Cost Plus World Market between July 2012 and December 2012 for about $3. These toys light-up when their sensors on the bottom are touched or placed in water. The recalled products measure approximately 2.25 inches in length and 1.5 inches in height. The light-up toy frogs are available in green color while the ducks come in pink, yellow and clear. These light-up toys were manufactured in China and imported by Toysmith, of Sumner, Washington. A round tag is attached to every light-up toy with the UPC number 24245159.

What to do if you own this toy
To ensure the safety of your children, immediately stop using the recalled product. Consumers are also encouraged to return the light-up toys to the place of purchase to for a full refund.
