Icy Roads May Be Cause of Deadly Accident on Gene Snyder

Early Wednesday morning an accident on the Gene Snyder Freeway near La Grange Road killed one and injured another.

Louisville Metro police report that a Ford Explorer was traveling north on the Gene Snyder and lost control at the La Grange Road overpass. The vehicle rolled over ejecting the passenger. The passenger's identity has not been released yet was pronounced dead at the scene. The police also report the passenger was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. The driver was hospitalized as a result of minor injuries.

Police report that icy roads may have been a factor in the fatality.
