Bath County, Kentucky Man Killed in Head-on Collision in Rowan County, Kentucky

Michael Lucas, aged 20 from Bath County was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident on U.S. 60 in Rowan County, Kentucky on Sunday, December 28th. The accident occurred when a Ford pickup truck driven by Daniel Thompson crossed the center line and hit Lucas’ car head on.
Thompson and another passenger, Matthew Crouch, were both injured in the accident and transported to St. Claire Regional Medical Center. Thompson was then transferred to University of Kentucky Hospital.
This accident was one of ten different fatal accidents that happened during the holiday period. The number for the year, according to the Kentucky State Police, is down by 50 from last year.
