Baby Jogging Stroller Attachment Recalled
Kids love being outdoors. I still love watching little kids play. There is something infectious about their laughter. With infants, we want them to be part of what's happening around them. Joggers and walkers are grateful that baby strollers are invented so we can exercise and enjoy being outside with our children.
Baby Jogging Strollers began hitting the streets in the early 1980's. Many parents have purchased this item for their convenience and for the comfort of their child while outdoor.
Early this Month, a popular jogging stroller is being recalled because of its attachment that may not properly lock into place and has the potential to cause a child to fall. There have been reported cases that four children have fallen out of the seats when attachment detached from the stroller. One poor baby even suffered a broken nose.
The recall includes 1,545 Baby Jogger Jump Seats which attach to the Baby Jogger City Elite, Baby Jogger City Classic or Baby Jogger Summit strollers that were sold since January 2008.
The Jump seat is a fabric seat accessory with the name "Baby Jogger" on the front that is engaged to the mounting bracket on the frame of a Baby jogger stroller and allows a baby and toddler to ride together in the same stroller at the same time. The recalled attachments were sold at juvenile products stores, mass merchandisers, and department stores nationwide and on the Web for about $100 from January 2008 until July 2010.
Families who have purchased the product must refrain from using it for their child's safety and contact Baby Jogger at (877) 506-2213 between 9a.m. and 6 p.m. ET or email the firm at recall@babyjogger.com to receive Jump Seat safety straps and instructions. By doing this a child injury accident may be prevented.
