Q: What can I do if I have an automobile accident that is not my fault, but I do not have insurance coverage?

A: You still have a claim against the driver of the car that hit you. You may still recover for your pain and suffering. Your medical bills will be paid by your health insurance carrier in this situation. If you do not have health insurance you are responsible for the first $10,000.00 of medical bills. This amount will be paid out of the proceeds of your settlement.
