Wrongful Death and Fatal Accidents
Woman Killed in Hit and Run Near Southside Drive
Saturday evening a pedestrian was killed near the intersection of Southside Drive and Kingston Avenue. The 49-year old woman has been identified as Maria Ndimuzigo. Ms. Ndimuzigo lived in the 100 block of Kingston Avenue which is only blocks from the site of the accident.The accident occurred around 8:20. The victim was taken to University Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 9:07. The cause of her death is multiple blunt force injuries.
The vehicle that hit Ms. Ndimuzigo did not stop. Police are looking for a maroon vehicle that was last seen traveling north on Southside Drive. Louisville Metro Police are requesting that anyone with information on this accident to contact them as the investigation is ongoing.
