Toddler Killed in Barren County Kentucky after a Hit and Run-Kentucky Child Accident Attorney

LOCATION:     U.S. 68/KY 80, Barren County, Kentucky
TYPE:     21 month old Shayla Marie Wooten was killed when a white vehicle struck her on U.S. 68/KY 80 Monday, August 3, 2009.

Kentucky State Police and the Barren County Sherriff’s office are investigating the accident that killed 21-month-old Shayla Marie Wooten on Monday evening at approximately 8:00.  What witnesses are saying is that a large white vehicle travelling down the road swerved to avoid hitting the toddler but hit her.

The driver continued west and did not stop.  The police are treating this as a crime investigation because the driver did not stop.  They are looking for the driver of a large white vehicle, possibly a van, truck or SUV with possible damage to the right front bumper.  Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the police. 

Our sympathies go out to the family and loved ones of Shayla.
