Spinal Decompression Surgery

Automobile accidents can possibly cause devastating serious injuries to people involved in the accident such as the drivers, passengers and even pedestrians.   Some injuries are not life threatening and can be cured in a short period of time while other auto accident injuries are so severe that leads to long term disability.

Car accident can cause back injuries and spinal cord injuries.  These injuries can cause serious nerve damage resulting in paralysis, loss of reflex function, loss of feeling in certain areas of the body, and autonomic disturbances.  The best option to cure these serious injuries is through surgery only.

There is what we call spinal decompression which is a form of surgery used to offer relief of back pain.  It can be performed anywhere along the spine from the neck (cervical) to the lower back (lumbar).  The process is assisted by the use of x-rays and scans and when the area has been located, the pressure on the nerve is alleviated by adjusting or removing whatever is pressing on the nerve.

If you happen to be a victim of an automobile accident and suffer some injuries, it is a good idea to see a doctor for evaluation of any injuries.  Although, you feel only a mild headache or slightly numb pain in any part of your body and may not seem problematic, they could be symptoms of serious internal injuries.  And of course, be sure to seek help from a personal injury attorney which will help you in the case.

Spinal decompression is a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment for certain types of chronic back pain. Mechanical decompression works by slowly and gently stretching the spine, taking pressure off compressed discs and vertebrae. Vertebral decompression is one of the most exciting medical treatments developed in many years, since it demonstrates good statistical results for long term pain relief.
