Motorcycle Accident Injures a Former
Kentucky Football Player

Drake, a former football player, a tight end for the University of Kentucky Wildcats
from 2006 through 2009 was confined in serious condition in University of
Louisville Hospital. Drake, blessed with
excellent height, played in 49 games at Kentucky and had a total of 20 catches
for 281 yards in his career with the Wildcats.
Drake,
a Bardstown native, according to accident report was riding along Bloomfield
Road, near Bardstown when he was thrown from the motorcycle about 9:00 p.m.
Sunday when a car made a left turn in front of him on U.S. 62 in Nelson
Country. The police reported that Drake was not wearing his helmet when the
incident happened.
The
35-year-old Jennifer Reed, the driver of the car has been charged with
first-degree assault, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of
drugs or alcohol.
This
accident reminds all of us not to drive when under the influence of drug and
alcohol and always use safety gear when riding a motorcycle.
