Child Accidents Can be Prevented by Presence of Adult Supervision-Kentucky Child Accident Attorney
In a news article I posted recently I outlined some pretty scary statistics about the frequency of accidents with children involving playgrounds. The
Center for Disease Control has reported that there are over 200,000 child injuries as the result of accidents on playgrounds.
There are many things parents and guardians can do to keep their children safe. The first thing to remember is to supervise the activity on the playground. This supervision can be in the form of making sure the children use the equipment properly and safely.
A couple of other things for parents and guardian to remember is to make sure the equipment is not broken or have dangerous protrusions. It is also important to be able to see the entire playground.
Blind spots on a playground can be hazardous.
Children may not be able to foresee dangerous situations or be able to gauge distances and speeds. It is up to us to do our part to keep them safe.
