Prevent Tragedy on Kentucky Roads

Highway Workers Need Our Undivided Attention-Louisville, Kentucky Accident Attorney

Yesterday as I was driving to the office I noticed the amber alert sigh on Highway 71 in eastern Jefferson County.  It read “Drive Smart Kentucky”.  That is always a good message to remember.  The next message, however, is the one that got my attention.  It flashed “OUR HIGHWAY WORKERS NEED OUR UNDIVIDED ATTENTION”.

This is another very good message for all of us to remember, particularly this time of the year.  Our road ways take a beating during the winter months.  The chemicals put down during snow and ice is hard on the roads.  Even the cold temperatures can cause problems.

Every spring road crews are out in force filling and repairing the potholes.  These potholes can not only cause expensive damage to your car they can also cause a driver to lose control of their vehicle causing an accident.

Give these workers the courtesy of your attention.  They are there to make the roads safer for us.  Slow down and pay extra attention when there are workers present.  Be safe.
