TYPE:   Crash Saturday night kills Janette Weeks

Shortly after seven o’clock on Saturday evening a motorcycle crash in Oldham kills 43-year-old Janette Weeks.  Ms. Weeks, the passenger on the motorcycle involved in the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the motorcycle, 46-year-old Edward Scott Weeks suffered minor injuries.  Police are investigating the crash which happened in the 2800 block of Highway 524. Ms. Weeks is from Pendleton, Kentucky.

Police have reported that no other vehicle was involved in the accident.  It has not been reported the cause of the accident or whether the victims were wearing helmets at the time of this accident.

Looking back to the weather on Saturday I remember it was a perfectly beautiful spring day.  This needs to be a reminder to motorists, motorcyclist, bicyclist, walkers and joggers.  For safety sake we all need to be diligently aware of others on the road.  Please be safe and pay extra attention to the activities on the road.  My sympathies go out to the family and loved one of Ms. Weeks.
