As winter time is fading and spring is drawing near, nicer weather again fill the air here in Kentucky.  And with this kind of weather, there are going to be more people walking, jogging, running and strolling along the Kentucky streets.  People seize wonderful moments with such fine weather.

But in the afternoon of February 17, 2011 was an unfortunate event that came about to a 69-year-old woman, Geraldine Bruder.  According to the Police, she was hit by a Honda Accord while crossing the southbound lanes in the 3700 block of Manslick Road near March Boulevard at about 2:15 p.m.  She was fatally injured and was brought to University Hospital.  But Bruder was declared dead at about 2:42 p.m. from multiple blunt injuries stated by a Jefferson County deputy coroner, Jack Arnold.  Bruder lived in the 3700 block of West Wheatmore Drive just so near where the incident happened.  The driver was not expected to face charges.

A pedestrian has responsibilities and obligations to follow some road rules and traffic signs.  It is a must to comply to these rules completely if one wants to be safe.
