MRI Use After A Car Accident

I just added a news article  on my website on MRIs.  In this article I have attempted to explain how they work and what the difference is between an MRI. and a CT scan.  MRIs use powerful magnets and radio waves to take internal pictures of the body while CT scans use radiation.

MRIs have generally been accepted as very effective ways to get accurate information on internal issues.  Bulging and herniated disks are common injuries from car accidents.  Many of these issues could have been caused by a car or truck accident and an MRI  is ordered to get a better picture of potential injuries.  Occasionally there will be a problem there that the MRI did not pick up.

As with any injury or illness listen to what your body is telling you.  If an MRI shows that there is no damage and you are still suffering symptoms get another opinion or a second test.  For more information on Louisville, Kentucky personal injury attorney Mike Schafer go to www.mikeschaferlaw.com.
