
Motorcyclist Killed in a Collision with a Truck in Prospect, Kentucky-Kentucky Motorcycle Attorney

Type: In a collision with a box truck this morning a motorcyclist was killed.
The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released by the police but it has been reported that at shortly after 8:00 a.m. a motorcycle was traveling east on Highway 42 when it collided with a box truck traveling west. It has also been reported that at the time of the accident the motorcyclist was trapped under the truck and was dragged for approximately 100 yards. The police have also reported that there has not been any evidence showing alcohol or speed factoring into the accident. They also report the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
The spring is the time of year when you will see more motorcyclists on the road due to the longer days and warmer weather. May has also been designated as Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month. It is important throughout the year to be aware of motorcycles but May is the month designed to heighten both motorists awareness of motorcyclists but also increase motorcyclist’s awareness of safety issues when riding.
