Earlier this week a multi-vehicle accident occurred on KY 176 in Muhlenberg County. Five vehicles were stopped at a work zone when another vehicle hit the last car. This caused a chain reaction, damaging numerous vehicles.
The work crew was working on debris removal when the accident happened. The crews usually work from morning to night and are required to post signs indicating work areas. The
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has asked drivers to be alert and pay close attention to the signs. It is estimated that the debris removal will continue for several more months.
Slow down and be aware of your surroundings is one way to prevent automobile accidents and save lives on the road.
