Kentucky Motorcyclist Brian Smith Dies in Early Morning Accident

TYPE: Brian Smith was killed in an early morning motorcycle accident Sunday.
Just after midnight on Sunday morning 31-year-old Brian Smith was killed in an accident while riding his motorcycle. The accident occurred on North Main Street between John Southerland Drive and US 27 in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
According to Nicholasville Police Mr. Smith was traveling north on Main Street when he lost control of his motorcycle. His motorcycle, classified as a “sport bike”’ then left the road hitting a post. Witnesses say that he was traveling at a high rate of speed before the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It has also been reported that Mr. Smith was wearing a helmet at the time.
There are safety precautions when riding a motorcycle and Mr. Smith was practicing one of the most important by wearing his helmet. Motorcyclists are very vulnerable. My sympathies go out to Mr. Smith’s friends and family.
