
Four Killed in Nicholas County Kentucky Accident-Kentucky Auto Accident Attorney

Friday evening at approximately 9:45 pm a fatal,, accident in Nicholas County Kentucky took the lives of four people. The deceased have been identified as 53-year-old Jerome B. Hicks, 19-year-old Charles Hicks and 17-year-old Mary N. Willcut, all of Cincinnati, Ohio. Also killed in the accident was 20-year-old Robert Hughes of Carlisle, Kentucky.
According to the Kentucky State Police the accident occurred on Lake Road which is near Carlisle in Nicholas County. Hughes was traveling northbound when he attempted to pass another vehicle and hit the car traveling south. The southbound car was being driven by
Jerome Hicks had Charles Hicks and Mary Willcut as his passengers. Ms Willcut was seven months pregnant at the time of the accident. All were pronounced dead at the scene as was Hughes.
The passenger in Hughes' car, 20-year-old Dylan Boone also of Carlisle, was transported to University of Kentucky Medical Center and has reported to be in stable condition. The case is currently under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
To help prevent these types of accidents it is important when passing another vehicle make sure it is in a passing zone on the road, the intermittent yellow lines as opposed to a solid yellow line. If it is solid, don't try. There could be hills and curves that prevent accurate visibility of oncoming traffic. Also, if someone is passing you, please slow down and allow them to do so safely.
