I heard little children singing nursery rhymes about signs. Aside of its jolly tune, our little ones learned something from it. I remember singing songs (or trying to sing as my daughters will tell you) like this to my kids years ago. I didn't realize at the time I was giving them their first driving lesson.
The importance of these signs should be instructed as early as pre-school because these signs are usually part of our daily activities. Knowing the real meaning can prevent a serious Kentucky car accident.
Traffic lights in Kentucky are also known as stoplights, traffic lamps or traffic signals. Basically they are signaling devices positioned at road intersections or pedestrian crossings that control the flow of the traffic. It is consist of a set of three colored lights: red, yellow and green. Red means to stop. Yellow is to slow down, look and then proceed with caution. And lastly, green refers to stop.
When you see a flashing yellow light you know it is a time for extra caution. It doesn't mean go fast through the intersection. It is also an indication that there is a dangerous Kentucky intersection, congested road or unusual traffic condition ahead. This applies to drivers and pedestrians as well. Observing these traffic lights may avoid a Kentucky car wreck, serious injuries or even death. Kentucky pedestrians need to be especially aware of this. Paying attention to these signals may prevent a Kentucky pedestrian accident.
Each of us should be mindful of flashing yellow lights in daily travels. Sometimes we don't pay attention. We are listening to our ipods or texting on our cell phones. This inattention could be fatal. You should always pay attention when you are on Kentucky roads. This should be a lesson we take from nursery rhymes and children's songs. Take extra caution with every flashing yellow light.
