Children in Kentucky and all over the world love to play. That's what they always want to do. Playing is so much fun. As I reminisce, when my daughter was just a little girl, she always invites me to play with her. Nowadays, there are lots of cool toys and stuffs that every little boy or girl ever dream to have. As a personal injury attorney I know there needs to be a warning to parents because there are playsets out there that are not safe to play with. How can you prevent a child injury accident?
Just like this Oasis Playsets which are designed to establish a fun place for children to learn and play. It was reported last February 8, 2011 by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission that Escalade Sports of Evansville, Industry voluntary recalls about 4,600 Oasis Outdoor Playsets. The reason for the recall is the hazard that the swing seats can crack and break in half and will cause children to fall to the ground. Escalade sports have received 24 cases of breaking swing seats and luckily no one has been hurt.
The recall involves belt-style swing seats on PG01W, PG02W, PG03W, and PG04W models of Oasis Play sets. The model numbers are located on a plate on the horizontal beam of the swing. The swing seats have rounded ends with black grommets on each end. The plastic seats are 26 inches long colored green and hung from plastic-coated chains.
The products are sold by Oasis Distributors and dealers nationwide from April 2008 to December 2010 at a price between $1,500 and $2,200. The play sets are manufactured in China.
So, if you have been one of the consumers of these products, immediately stop using the swing seats and contact Escapade Sports for a free replacement of swing seats.
You can contact Escapade Sports for more information at (800) 742-6009 between 8 am and 5pm CT Monday to Friday, or you may visit their website at www.escaladesports.com, or email them at safetyinfo@escaladesports.com.
Children's safety here in Kentucky is a top priority. If you knew a family with Oasis Playset, let them be aware of this recall to prevent Kentucky child fall and injury.
