Motorcycle crashes were the cause of three fatalities and one ATV accident took the life of another. None of the victims were wearing helmets at the time of the crashes. There was also a pedestrian killed in an accident in Jefferson County.
These statistics were reported by the
Kentucky State Police and are preliminary. These statistics also show that there have been 310 people killed on Kentucky roads so far in 2010. This number is 54 less than the number reported for the same time in 2010. For safety sake if you are on the road, not only in Kentucky but everywhere, you should buckle-up. You should put your helmet on if you are on a scooter, motorcycle, bicycle or ATV. You should never get on the road if you are impaired in any way.
