Fender Bender Turns Fatal for Two Men in Kentucky-Louisville fatal accident attorney

TYPE:     Minor auto accident results in two injured and two others killed on Louisville roadway.

David Meredith and Omar Lopez were killed early Sunday evening when they were hit by a pickup truck on Washburn Avenue in Jefferson County Kentucky.

According to Louisville Metro Police reports the accident was the second after a minor incident.  Reports indicate that a pickup truck was rear-ended by another vehicle on westbound Washburn Avenue.  Four men were standing behind the pickup truck after the accident when another pickup failed to see the accident and hit the men.  Tragically Mr. Meredith and Mr. Lopez were pronounced dead at the scene and two others were transported to University Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Police report that the road conditions were foggy but do not think that the weather played a factor in the incident.  Nor do they believe that drugs or alcohol were involved.  Some reports say that the men standing behind the truck may have been blocking the tail lights making it difficult to see the accident. 

In any situation on the road it is always safest to be the most visible.  During the twilight hours is it hard to see so any measures to increase your visibility will help keep you safer.  It is also important to remember that during these times of low light extra caution needs to be taken to add a degree of safety.
