Bicycle Helmets Prevent Injuries in Accidents

I wear a bicycle helmet every time I get on my bike, which is quite frequent. I actually feel naked with out one. This a lot different then when I was growing up. I road a bike and didn't even know there was such a thing as a bicycle helmet. Heck I rarely even had shoes on when I went for a ride. Times have changed and so have attitudes toward bicycle safety. I made it but if you give yourself that extra edge with a helmet isn't it worth wearing it? Will wearing a helmet really make a difference if you are in a Kentucky car accident?
