Late Monday afternoon on westbound Lower Colesburg Road it has been reported that 21-year-old Andrew S. Coleman lost control of the car he was driving and crashed. He suffered several blunt force injuries and later died at University Hospital in Louisville Ky.
The single car accident occurred when Colman was driving at a high rate of speed as he approached a curve. Due to the excessive speed he could not hold the curve and his car fell into the right shoulder of the road. At that point the car hit many trees before flipping over.
Coleman had two passengers with him, 16-year-old Michael D. Dillander, II, and 18-year-old James Wrinkle, Jr., both of Shepardsville, Ky. Coleman along with his two passengers were thrown from the car. Dillander and Wrinkle were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. Apparently none of them were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
