Did you know that there are time limits for you being able to file your Kentucky accident case?  If you’ve been injured in a car accident, a bicycle accident or a loved one has died in a fatal truck accident there is a time limit called the Statute of Limitations.  This is the time-frame that [...]
Will a $25.00 fine really deter the conduct of texting while driving? Text messaging is a part of the teenage culture. Kids don’t want to talk on the phone. My daughter will send a text and wait for a reply rather then call a friend. I couldn’t get my sister off the phone when I [...]

Tragic Fatal Accident in Christian County Claims the Life of 17-Year-Old Dustin Stewart

Speed and Alcohol Suspected in Deadly Hopkinsville, Kentucky Crash-Kentucky Fatal Accident Attorney

DATE:     September 1, 2009

LOCATION:     Christian County Kentucky

TYPE:      Investigators suspect that alcohol and speed were involved in the accident that killed 17-year-old Dustin Stewart.

According to Christian County investigators the driver of a Dodge Durango failed to stop at traffic sign at the intersection of Kentucky 117 and Cox Mill Road.  The Durango, driven by 19-year-old Joshua Sweeney, then hit a trailer being pulled by a pick-up truck.

The accident not only caused the death of Dustin Stewart who was pronounced dead at the scene but also injured the pick-up truck driver and three other passengers.  Their injuries have been classified as non-life-threatening.

During the investigation officers found a 12 pack of beer and have determined Sweeney was traveling at least 70 miles per-hour at the time of the impact with the trailer.  This is a heartbreaking accident and our condolences go out to the loved ones of young Mr. Stewart and hope for complete recoveries of those injured.
